Topics covered during the course will consist of, but not limited to, the following:

PROPER TECHNIQUE AND SHOOTING FUNDAMENTALS

Learn with true professionals, as they walk you through the proper techniques and fundamentals when shooting long distances.

TARGET AQUISITION AND REFERENCE

Understand your equipment and how they work to insure success at long distances...Freddy and Josh are there to walk you through the steps and the terminology of ranging and committing at long range.

RIFLE TRUING AND BALLISTICS SOLUTIONS

Get to know your gear and what it is capable of doing. Freddy will help you along the process of getting you and your rifle to act as one.

ADVANCED LONG RANGE HUNTER

Advanced topics include but not limited to:

Fundamental recap- positing of support hand, eye relief, and trigger.

Hunting/field positioning- tripod/ unsupported techniques.

Wind reading- mirage, terrain features, both speed & direction.

Environmental & wind conditions- effect on elevation corrections.

Advance rifle truing techniques- velocity vs ballistic effects.

Moving Target- speed determination, TOF, measurement, wind correction.

This course is an intense course designed to advance your knowledge and shooting ability with your personal rifle and equipment. While there will certainly be loaner rifles available it is recommended to complete this class with the rifle you plan on using for your long range hunting applications (regardless of caliber or manufacturer).

Beautiful Harteis Ranch Hunting Lodge located in the Stonewall Valley near Weston, Colorado. Only a few miles North of the Colorado/New Mexico border, Harteis Ranch has a 5-star lodge with wifi, cable TV in the rooms, and over 3,000 acres to provide actual back country shooting scenarios.
